PDG Secures Complex Oracle Environment with SEP Sesam and Becomes SEP Premier Partner
The PRIMUS DELPHI GROUP (PDG) relies on the SEP sesam backup solution for securing its complex Oracle environments on the customer side and for its own environment.

- The Oracle partner secures its own environment and that of its customers with the backup solution “Made in Germany”
- Heterogeneous environments consist of Oracle DB and virtualization (OLVM) and various Linux and Windows file systems
- Data backup with only one single product and a central management interface that can be scaled as required were decisive factors for Primus Delphi Group
The Primus Delphi Group (PDG) relies on the SEP sesam backup solution for securing its complex Oracle environments on the customer side and for its own environment. As an Oracle partner, the IT consulting company has been focusing on Oracle products and technologies for more than 25 years. The broad portfolio includes the entire Oracle product range of database solutions as well as hardware and software. SEP, as a manufacturer of platform-independent hybrid backup and disaster recovery solutions “Made in Germany”, has long been certified for data backup of Oracle systems. Both data backup and the possibility of recovery after data loss in the primary system are business-critical for such environments. SEP sesam is now offered to customers for securing Oracle environments such as Oracle Database and Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM).
As an implementation partner for Oracle ERP applications, PDG offers consulting, software development, interfaces, training courses, as well as classic IT. In addition, Primus Delphi secures various Linux servers, including Red Hat, and the Windows file system. The very large environments are sometimes distributed across multiple locations, which can be easily managed for data backup with SEP sesam via the central management console.
“SEP sesam enables us to back up our complete heterogeneous environments with a single product and a central management interface, while remaining scalable as required. The clear and permanently updated wiki is a great help as the first point of contact for any questions that arise. And if further support was needed, SEP's support was able to contribute to the problem solution quickly and competently,” says Arno Werner, head of IT-infrastructure / senior system engineer - Primus Delphi Group.
“The data of companies and organizations is the basis for business activity today. Complex IT environments, such as those of Oracle, therefore require a secure and certified data backup solution. SEP sesam has been designed for this for several years and helps to prevent any data loss and to restore business operations as quickly as possible in the event of a disaster. We are therefore pleased that Primus Delphi Group has placed its trust in us and will immediately use SEP sesam as a SEP Premier Partner to secure its own and customer environments,” says Georg Moosreiner, CEO and co-founder of SEP AG.
